Filming Policy

Copyrights and Licensing

Jennifer LaMountain is your contact for all issues regarding filming of our Tour Concert.

Message from Jennifer:

If you are wishing to film, videotape or otherwise broadcast our concert, there are two issues that must be considered -- artist likeness (must have artist agreement) and synchronization licenses (must have the songwriter's agreement).

Before we begin to discuss those -- I need to understand the videos' purpose and use.
1. Is the video footage aired simultaneously to other sites?
2. Will the footage be aired at a later date?
3. Will the footage be duplicated for distribution (either given or sold)
4. Who will hold masters besides Morning Song.

I’m sure I speak for all the artists when I tell you we are ready to work with you in any possible way -- but before we can agree to any videotaping we must determine the issues stated above. If the filming was only for promotional purposes and never attached the music to the pictures -- there would not be a problem. But, the minute we begin video-taping the likeness AND the music we deal with some copyright laws that must be handled properly. I'm happy to help talk you through the process and forms that must be filed if that is what is intended.

I look forward to hearing from you in response to the issues listed above and will work with you as quickly as possible as – time is of importance.
